Friday, March 10th, we left Demopolis well-provisioned and with clean laundry.
At Demopolis Lock, the bird life was abundant.
The Demopolis Dam did not have gates, just a fixed spillway with plenty of water flowing over it.
In the tailrace of Demopolis Dam was a large pelican colony.
We again caught up with the same tug and coal barges we’d passed the day before (and would pass at least one more time this trip.)
Our stop for the night was a popular anchorage where Okatuppa Creek joins the river.
Today we traveled 76 nautical miles, for a trip total of 507 miles.
